アメリカの私立高校の授業料(2014年)を高いものから調べたので公表しておこう。
まあハッキリ言うと授業料の高さと教育の質の高さは正比例の関係にあると言っても良いだろう。日本人の場合にはこれに寮費が加算されるので6万ドルを超えるということになるだろう。
円が安くなったせいで6万ドルは720万円となる。
私が自分の子供達をアメリカの学校に入れた時は2万3,000ドル程度であったから、ドルベースで授業料自体が倍近くなっているということ。それに加えて円が半値に対ドルでなっているので、私の時と比べると今の親の負担は4倍という感じになろうか。
